Two of Jack the Ripper’s victims were famously last spied imbibing at this vivacious, fun East London pub. Look for a neon sign and a little staircase in the back of the room; it leads to a second-floor restaurant as elegant and decorous as the downstairs is raucous. “Pressed pigs ear with brown crab, asparagus and horseradish” might be on the eclectic menu, along with a traditional gnocchi dish. Knock back a pint downstairs at meal’s end.
